Just a quick post to update everyone. Mom slept all day yesterday. Today she is not coherent at all and Dad says that when she moves, she doesn't open her eyes. This is clearly not a side effect of the pain medication, as it is new and sudden. I will be traveling to Corry, PA in a matter of minutes and planning to stay until the end...and through the funeral...and the aftermath. Peace be with you all. Peace is with us too...it's just hard to feel.
FYI...to those of you who live close to me in the 'Burgh...I will likely need help with mail collection and cat care. If you are able to do this or can recommend someone, please let me know.
